He is an Iraqi calligrapher who was born in Najef in 1944. He left Iraq in 1969 and now lives in France. Samy is a self-taught designer and illustrator who lives in Egypt and works as a freelancer, doing work for clients such as SEE Foundation and Orient Production. His design work grabs you immediately by its distinguished style that pushes ink lines and typography together, smoothly forming creative and tasty visuals for our eyes to feast on. His love for comics clearly shows through his simple yet stark illustrations, which make us believe that these objects and characters really do exist. Continue reading →
Omar Al-Zo’bi
A designer with a bite. His style is edgy and unique which makes him highly distinguished among the crowd. Omar doesn’t seem to be afraid of putting out some crazy stuff with a lot of attitude. These pieces can have some crude look and feel, which makes them full of life and humor, but don’t be fooled, these are nothing but high quality designs.
