This new addition to my Designers of the Middle East series goes by the name Gray in her online presence and I am not sure what her real name is. However, this young Kuwaiti graphic designer is not shy about showing her amazing ability to blend Arabic calligraphy within colorful environments that are full of images and graphics without losing the powerful form these beautiful letters have. In the past I have found it really hard to discover that many Arabic graphic designers. However, now with the power of social networking I can easily navigate my way into multiple artist and find more through interlinking. I wanted to highlight one of the first that I have discovered. His name is Mostafa and he is from Beirut, Lebanon and works in Qatar. His work has a very interesting blend of pure Arabic typography and calligraphy mixed with some powerful textured imagery.

The Power of Design in the Middle East
Today I remembered the TV ads that I saw for the last Iraqi Election. I remember being amazed by how well they were crafted and executed. So I went online and started searching for the source and after a painful and long search I stumbled upon the organization that made it happen.
